Live Art
We are pleased to announce the 10th Anniversary of the Studio Romolo Art Apprenticeship. A Work/Study Exchange Program offered by the Month or Season.
Learn by the side of an artist with 40 years of training, and experience creating everything from Monumental public projects to wearable sculpture. Romolo Del Deo has studied with and worked for a whos-who roster of contemporary artists and teachers as well as apprenticed in Italy with artisans from a bygone era.
Work with him on his projects and learn what it takes to be a professional artist, executing commissions, exhibits and exploring ideas. The program is free, in exchange for labor. Participants are also able to attend a number Studio School Workshops when available.
Admission is by application only, no prerequisites other than all applicants must conduct an interview that will determine admission. Because creative studio work is so personal, we reserve the right to not accept any applicant. Apply by email. Include your resume and link to a portfolio of work if possible (recommended but not required).
In addition to the included material please also state one artist who inspires you and why, if not a well known artist please include an image or link. This is the most important part of the application. I would discourage writing about my work or yours. I want to see what else you bring into the discussion.
